get started today!

Hi, my name’s Laura Uglow and I’m passionate about helping new (and not so new) mums to transform their body, their health and their fitness after pregnancy so that they can be healthy, happy mums with the energy to tackle their super hero role head on.

I would love to help you reach your goals!

I have been a Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach specialising in Post-Natal fitness since 2003 and I'm a busy mum to my gorgeous daughter Imogen, wife to hubby Bruce and business owner. I completely understand that you want to get back into your clothes and feel fit and healthy (I've been there myself!) but that it may seem like there are so many obstacles that get in the way of you achieving your goals and that there are never enough hours in the day and that there are many demands on your time as a mum.

As well as a Personal Training diploma with Premier Global I have specific Pilates, Post-Natal Nutrition and Exercise qualifications with Stott Pilates, Burrell Education and Life Fitness.

I have over a decade of experience and worked with thousands of women. Know that if you choose to work with me, you will be working with someone who knows what they are talking about.

I am passionate about helping you look and feel your best. You have to take responsibility to do the work, but I will be there every step of the way to encourage and give you the support you need.

With my professional knowledge and experience my clients get results. I know my system works and I would love to share it with you. Check out the success stories to see what can be achieved.

I created my True Vitality 4 Mums Programmes after I had my daughter Imogen in 2011 and with over a decades worth of knowledge and experience from working with my post-natal clients. It is the programme I used to get my body, fitness and confidence back and it is the system that I would love to share with you to help you to take control of your life and feel fit, healthy and confident.

This isn't a crash diet or an army-style bootcamp, but a new way of life that will give you all the energy you need to be a fit and energetic mum and a healthy role model for your children. It's for women who want to get into healthy eating habits forever, and who want to learn how to fit the right exercise into their busy days. Believe it or not, I can get you to the point at which you don't dread working out, but look forward to it! This will make it much easier for you to stick to in the long run.

I know how important it is for us mums to feel supported and to be able to share our experiences. Having children often takes you out of your usual social circles and many mums have told me how isolated they feel, particularly in those first few months. So Mums Vitality is more than a training programme. Of course you will feel fitter, drop inches and get your body back (or a better body than before!), but it is also a community where mums can learn, share, feel supported, and make new friends all of which contribute to your overall sense of well-being and to your success. I would love to help you on your journey to transform your body and live a healthy and happy lifestyle.

Lots of love

Laura xx

All True Vitality 4 Mums programmes are based on the following values to help you get the best results.

Eat Lean, Clean and Green

It is too easy to get into that unhealthy routine of coffee shops, cakes and sandwiches at home but since nutrition is responsible for 80% of fat loss it is important that you start eating lean, clean and green straight away. As I always say flat abs are made in the kitchen!

Get Organised and Find the Time

So many mums say to me that they find it hard to find the time to exercise or that they feel guilty and I completely understand how you feel, I have been there. My usual fitness routine would have been exhausting and time consuming and so I found many new realistic solutions through the Mums Vitality system that didn’t involve endless hours of boot camp or not pain no gain style workouts and that fitted well with Imogen and her routine too. I know that you might not think that going for a run or doing some acrobatics on a fit ball is a fun way to fill the kids naptime, but you will love the results and you should start to enjoy it! By doing 30 minutes of toning exercises 3 times a week it is only 1% of your total week, so there is no reason to feel guilty! Also by prepping your meals and snacks in advance you will resist those naughty temptations!

Be Kind to Yourself

I completely understand how eager you must feel to look like your old self again, but it is so important to set realistic goal and to give yourself plenty of time. Nowadays there are endless numbers of celebrities in the media who seem to just snap back into shape 2 weeks after giving birth who make it just appear to be so easy when it so obviously isn’t. Such quick weight loss is unrealistic and unhealthy for the average new mum, and although your favourite celebrity might have gone straight from the delivery room into her size 0 jeans, but she may have not done it in a way that was good for her body. All the magazines ask ‘How did she do it?!’ and the honest answer is that they do it with very, very strict diets, and a lot of them do it by getting back into activity before their body is really ready for it. It was only when Imogen was 8 months and we went on our first holiday to California did I feel like I (almost!) had my body back.

Be a Fit and Energetic Role Model Mum

One thing I realised early on after having Imogen was that, however I chose to live my life, it would have an impact on her. I wanted to be an important role model for my daughter and so my choices and habits mattered. Just over 33% of 11-year olds are now overweight or obese and among four and five year olds it’s 22% according to the most recent figures from the National Child Measurement Programme.

This made it even more important that the Mums Vitality programmes avoided any extreme diets or crazy exercise regimes because everything we do teaches our children something – good or bad. Children are like sponges and they develop well when actions and words align. My husband and I have always led an active lifestyle and love that we have now found lots of new ways to enjoy this with Imogen. She loves to run around after us and join in with our exercise and I have enjoyed working with hundreds of women one to one and seeing their children joining in and enjoying exercising with their Mummy!

Live a Healthy Happy Lifestyle

Being a mother in the 21st century can be tough and there are so many challenges. We live in a multi-tasking world and are often expected to run the home, hold down a job, bring up happy children, and look perfect in the process! As I discovered on my own journey living well doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice more or follow an extreme system, it just took a lot more planning. Once I found the time to eat well, exercise and recharge each week, everything fell into place. You too can be known as the most energetic super mum around town and your family will love your new healthy ways! The Mums Vitality programmes will provide you with a complete healthy lifestyle programme to help you save time knowing you are eating the right things and doing the right exercise for you so that you can have more quality time with your hubby and children.
